Long Time WSCA Member Passes Away

Herb Kennedy passed away 7/14/10. Herb was a houndsman before most anybody reading this was born. Herb will be greatly missed.

WSCA will miss you, Herb.

Thank you George, Nikki and Bob for attending the meeting tonight!

Since nobody nominated themselves, there was no vote for new officers. Discussion was made about donating the treasury to a "like club" per the By-Laws. The only really like club would be MPHC. MPHC is the only other UKC club within hundreds of miles and they do a load of amazing stuff to promote the image of houndsmen, but they are in Oregon.

The decision was made for WSCA to take a haitus and hold a meeting September 27th, 2010. Probably in Oregon =) But since 3/4 of the people attending are in Oregon including the one who would cook, that shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.

Washington State Coonhound Association (WSCA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and protecting the sport of hunting with hounds and to working for the conservation of wildlife.

We wish to promote competition and comaraderie among hound hunters/handlers through the sponsorship of United Kennel Club (UKC), American Kennel Club (AKC) and Washington State Hound Council (WSHC) sanctioned events.

AKC has Accepted WSCA to hold AKC events, so keep watching for the schedule!

Anyone interested in hunting with hounds, and willing to abide by the rules of the club, and the game laws of Washington may, upon payment of the required fee, become a member.
